Aims and organisation of the conference: The conference aims to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to create an interdisciplinary discussion on a range of issues relating to ICTs (see the conference themes). The time will be divided into sessions on different topics, some in parallel. The papers for those sessions will be made available on-line beforehand. Participants are supposed to have read at least the papers in their session. During the session they will make a short presentation of the key points of their papers. Then the whole group will be given a task - to reflect on all the papers and discuss certain themes common to and following from the papers. The questions will come from the organisers and the participants. Some of this will be prepared and made available on-line in advance. We will also be creating the chance for some pre-conference discussion of these relevant issues. The main points from each session will feed into the panel discussions at the end of the conference. To provide common ground in the conference all paper writers should think about: (a) the basis for making evaluations of ICTs, (b) the implications for the future design of ICTs, (c) directions for future research. Procedure: (a) The deadline for papers is 1st February 2009. (b) The papers have to be formatted according to paper submission guidelines and submitted online. (c) Authors have to pay the registration fee before April 15 to have their papers in the proceedings. (d) Registration and accommodation details will be online soon. Thank you once again for your interest in the conference. We look forward to receiving the paper and seeing you in May.
